Hi Zed
I use the Bushnell HD Trophy cameras on the farm , they weren’t silly money and have always worked reliably . The picture quality is rather average but good enough to be able to see what’s out and about. They have several modes. 1.Photo 2.Photo + video 3.Video 4.Infra red photo and video (needs to be relatively close to work effectively, 15 yards max) Also Various settings to control length of video and number of photos. https://www.instagram.com/hustynminepark/ |

Use a Browning one myself. I went with one that has the black leds so there's no tell tale red light visible from the front of the unit. Get some good footage.
Depending what you want it for, you need to look at speed of trigger and reset times. Can dig out examples and exact spec if interested. |

Thanks chaps. I will be using them to film local wildlife. Badgers, foxes, deer etc and we have completely dark skies.
Not sure if that makes a difference? |

Just got this photo off the camera:
![]() Click image to enlarge I usually leave it on video and then rip a screenshot if necessary but thought I'd try on photo for a change. Have to say I'm a little disappointed by the quality of this. Although, this one seems a little better: ![]() Click image to enlarge During the day it seems to do OK: ![]() Click image to enlarge How do these compare to other's cameras? Mine is a 2018 Browning Spec Ops Advantage: ![]() Click image to enlarge |

I use a Browning like Supacat’s. Mainly use it for still shots and get quite a few of badgers and foxes etc. Grabbed this image a few days ago - looks like a young Sparrowhawk (or maybe a female) with a blackbird and also a magpie wanting a piece of the action. Am guessing it didn't end well for the blackbird but only found one feather there.
