All I’ve had an ongoing problem with my hand real light for a while - stays on constantly but a good jolt will flicker it off momentarily.
More recently doing my trip home down the M25 and some /€$$¥*^%#! £&@) face idiot pulled in front and brake checked me. Slammed on breaks, new tyres no problem. Didn’t notice it until 20 miles down the road, that my TC and ABS lights are stuck on. Tried a quick restart which did nothing, and tried a couple of times at home it persists. Not a problem today as I took public transport, but worried it might be my bearings which is a massive problem considering I do 180 miles a week and some rough roads on the estate where I’m working. Going to start up to night to see if a 2 day shutdown will reboot the dash I’ve had a look around the web for answers I case the reboot doesn’t work. I don’t have access to a fault reader and can’t get time off for next week to have it checked. Problems could be from what I read Bearings - I can check but ABS pump & ABS sensors I can’t other than check that they are plugged in. Is there anything else I can do? It’s fixed the handbrake light but TC & ABS persists.
Done a couple brake checks, seems that ABS only wants to work when I absolutely floor it. Now would you chaps say absolutely do not make two eighty mile journeys without getting it checked or not? in general that would suggest potentially a wheel sensor issue but it would likely need to be electronically diagnosed to confirm
in terms of driving if the brakes are working correctly the only thing your missing is the added safety of the ABS but it isn't the be all /end all...........just drive appropiately |

Few things to check,
Is the front tracking ok? If not then wheels can rotate at different RPM which the sensors will pick up over distance and illuminate the ABS light. Check the sensor wiring for damage - see here https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic68385.html Check the sensors are properly located fully down in their socket until the sensor shoulder is firmly home. Check connections etc. Measure resistance across sensor terminals and compare the four sensors. All should give similar readings, if one has a notably different reading compared with the other three then replace it If the problem persists your only option is to hook up to a diagnostic machin > 110 XS Double Cab |

It may just need a fault cleared and reset with a diagnostic tool.

Tracking should be Ok only just had new tyres,
Its not the Bearings as i jacked it and tested all four wheels. I'll take it to get checked out week after next. Hoping its just a clear fault. I'm on IG: https://www.instagram.com/osloblue42/ Current: TD5 '110 "Lucinda" Thread here: https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic62562.html |

Seems as though it now pulls to the left under breaking.
Going to double check bearings tomorrow. Booked it in at the local indy for a service and a diagnostic. I'm on IG: https://www.instagram.com/osloblue42/ Current: TD5 '110 "Lucinda" Thread here: https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic62562.html |

had that on my previous defender and as you said a very expensive bill thank goodness for Landrover extended warranty which covered everything, then I took out the warranty on my wife’s Defender because her defender was getting close to the same mileage at which mine had failed and low n behold hers failed whilst on the rolling road during the MOT so luckily extended warranty covered that one as well. 2015 HT XS 90
