Hmm ive never heard an aussie say that, news to me do you have an article to back that up? New defender will come with 32s, 34s without engineering would be more thsn enough considering it looks like it can do just about everything from the factory on 32s. You only want tyres as big as you need, with the clearance of no pumkins and air susp, 32s are plenty, 34s may even be overkill. LR have never said to my knowledge they want to partner with another manufacturer to produce pickups, that was reporter speculation from memory. Unibodys can be made into pickups no problem, my tip is they are slready designed and even being tested. If we look at the facts the new defender hits lots of the boxes: 32s, lockers, body armour, good geometry. I can already imagine how magazines praise its offroadability based on this facts. JLR wants the new defender to be something that the old wasn't : " Best4x4far". The LR marketing regarding the new defender is a bit too offensive for my taste. I can see it having also having 1 toone payload 150kg roof load 1 metre wading Between 5 & 10sec 0-60(0-100) Ecconomic options Utilitarisn options High end options All the offroad kit you need from factory Seating to suit most familys |

According to JLRA it priced from volume buyers to high end.
As for icon status, that work has been done, its just evolved in 1 hit not incremental like other brands. |

Struth, nearly 60 pages on and you lot are still chasing smoke and mirrors, pictures and videos of cammo'd something or others ... oh and Lego models.
And before any of you new lads here question my devotion to the green oval ... 40+ years and dozens on LR products personally paid for and owned by me should quell any questions with regard to that. This continual conjecture over the so called new Defender that has gone on since Adam was in his prime is a laugh. Steve. Owned numerous Land Rover vehicles of all shapes and sizes over the decades. Current Defender: A non tarts hand-bagged Puma 110 XS USW. [Insert something impressive here such as extensive list of previous Land Rovers or examples of your prestigeous and expensive items, trinkets, houses, bikes, vehicles etc] http://forums.lr4x4.com I used to be Miserable ...but now I'm ecstatic. |

Regarding the new Lego images, zooming in now I think I do see headlamp covers after all. It was hard to see in the original LEGO leak (box cover). So, the real non-brick Defender will most likely have these rectangular shields. Not a fan yet. We’ll see.
