There's a good feature here https://issuu.com/mobilecentre/docs/lrm_electric_windows
There are loads of kits available if you have a look around ebay. If it were me I would retrofit the factory kit. A lot of the wiring will already be present for example switch wiring behind dash, fusebox, relays etc. possibly even the actuator looms in the doors? (sure somebody else will verify) Just need to get hold of the factory hardware, again try ebay for used items > 110 XS Double Cab |

Late to the party.
Unfortunately, the poverty spec defender does not come with the wirings and relays, I have one and I've retro fitted the powered windows using the original lifter parts. It's not difficult to do as the window motor is directly contacted by the switch itself, no need for a relay. Hardest thing is getting the connectors. Once you have them, it's just a wiring exercise. If you are not a purist, then any power window switch will do the job. I put them to the aux battery so i can use them without using the key. great when camping if you needed to put up or down the windows. From the land of the most expensive land rover defenders on planet earth. At 125k for a XS 110 csw and you get to own it only for 10yrs! Please find me a good reason to stay on this island. |
