Hi folks, whilst we try to help Defender 2 forum users but there is no way we can get anywhere near £60 delivered.

Delivery within the UK is £6 so that will make the selling price to be £54!

Normal Nakatanenga price is 89 euros with German VAT rate of 19%. Taking that price and converting it to £ and 20% VAT makes it about £81. The way that the £ has gone against the euro in the last year or so does not help!

We will have some Nakatanenga gear at Billing with us (Stand A3) if people want to have a look at them.

I have seen various prototypes recently including a lockable glove box. The anticipated selling price on that will be about £100.

Brendan

PS We will also have the new Jet Tents at Billing, hopefully the new Oztent Tagalong tents, a new LED worklight with an output of 420 lumens, new Quickfist kit etc

It is a shame for you lot that I am not still in Germany.

When I did the first group buy from Peter, due to a favorable exchange rate (£1:1.22Euro at the time), postage was free because I was traveling back to UK from Germany anyway and Peter gave a generous discount they cost £65 each. Postage withing the UK was about £5 for those who weren't on my route.

It isn't a shame for me though as Cyprus it treating me really good Smile

*Edit*.... As for the differences in the two- looks massive

HINGES: Nak glove box has 3 low line hinges for strength and it sits lower on the dash so looks more standard
FINISH: The Nak one is a perfect match to the defenders interior so looks standard compared to the glossy look of the other one.

- For those getting one- consider lining it with sticky back felt before fitting- otherwise every time you go around a corner a coin in it will clonk side to side..... very irritating after a few times.

We can offer a group buy! This has to go through Leeds because i am not anyone which does workarounds distributers!

I need to dischuss the price with all participants.

Glynn: good idea with the felt! We will discuss this in R&D and will bring this in. THX for Credit and you hit all the good point that differ ours from the cheaper copy.

Cheers

OK, lets try and get some sense of order here and find out who wants want.

GLOVE BOX

1) Galaway Green
2) The Boy
3) Miserableolgit
4) JSG
5) Jonny 1966
6) Mr Flips
7) Michael Brindley
Cool Bruno
9) Flinty99
10) Markalpha
11) Willy Eckerslike

Door Stay

1) Michael Brindley

High Performance Gasket manifold/turbocharger.

1) Michael Brindley

Please ADD or DELETE your name to the above list by copying the above list so Pete and I can get a clear idea of what is wanted so that a reasonable price can be worked out.

When comparing the current price with the previous price that Glyn organised please remember that the £ to Euro has gone down from 1.25 to 1.1 euros to £. (equivalent to a 12% price rise!) Germany VAT is 19% whereas UK VAT is 20%. Glyn's postal cost of £5 becomes £6 as we have to add VAT.

Can we put a time limit on this? Say midnight on Tuesday 5th July. This way there is a good chance that the items can be here ready for Billing so people can possibly avoid extra postal costs.
