I stripped mine. Welded up holes in the bottom. Filled and prepped properly and painted gloss black. Put the plate back on with rivnuts and dinitroled the inside

I started like that about 5 years ago on a cobra replica.... It leads to a full nut and bolt restoration. Be warned its hard to stop
