200TDi Head
Posting for a non-internet savvy friend whose 200TDI in South Africa has a cracked head

Are new 200TDi heads available in the UK / Europe? Quick search would indicate no.
If not what options (other than recondition existing)?
Can he replace it with a 300TDi head? Again a quick look would indicate yes, but a number of other things need to be changed.

What would be the best option?
Many thanks in advance

I'm not sure that A 300 tdi head will go straight on a 200. Aside from the fact that water and oil ways will need to line up, the combustion areas are different so you'd also be looking at changing pistons and injectors as well.

Thanks both.

I’d looked briefly at Turner but thought they just reworked customer heads, rather than doing all new.
Will pass on their details.
