This is worth a look if anyone hasn't seen it before. It's for the older Defender but a lot of it is still relevant of course
![]() *** EDIT See the link K9 mentioned in a later post specifically for the Puma Here https://www.defender2.net/gallery/albums/u...cedure.pdf *** http://www.legionlandrover.com/manuales/de...ngress.pdf PS. It mentions sealing the alpine lights but not the front windscreen or sunroof if you have one - certainly worth doing also. ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by Zagato on 26th Jun 2011 6:06pm. Would it not be quicker to drill more holes in the floor thus enabling more water to escape than enter the car.
![]() My old 300TDI 110 had this feature as standard, all the additional holes also helped to cool the car on days like today - Mark |

Had my PUMA at the stealers for 2 weeks this time (still there), chasing water ingress, 5 weeks last time.
![]() This information will allow for some pointed question as to what they have actually done or are doing... A big thanks - Cheers |

Green,
Amazing footage, thought he'd stuffed it when the exhaust started burbling under water! Think maybe a periscope might be worth considering as his next modification! Which does go to prove a point that you need a little water to get into the vehicle to allow the wheels to gain traction - so perhaps sealing the Defender is not a good idea as it will float!

Hi all
Thought that you might like these pictures i took when we used to marshal the Roadmaster event for the armed forces. This vehicle was not taking part on the day. The femail squaddie was told to go that way by the instructor! ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge Mark |

So I've been trawling this site looking for my particular problem, I have water ingress into the front underseat compartments, did a bit of wading, much less than the 0.5m allowance.
The ingress manual does'nt cover this area and the dealer are using this as an excuse to do nothing! I'm still under a warranty so they should be doing something seeing as there are all those electrical bits there! Any ideas? |
