So apparently the seats are 54" wide at the widest point. Which is good as the DC rear is about 56" so a little larger than current but should fit. Just need to get the depth. Instagram @defender_ventures

I think Sako243 fitted FFRR seats in his 110 certainly the front not sure about rears might be worth a search or PM. James

Got some of the seats on a good deal. So gave them a quick test fit.
While they fit its rather tight! Looks like Ill have to frabricate my own seatbox as well as modding the seats to get a better fit. I know!! Looks awesome. Currently think how I can get them in
Could maybe gain 25mm if i move my speakers, which will help. However annoyingly the seats only have two settings for the back support. Fully folded or in position which would be comfy in an RRS but removes all the leg room in DCPU. Trying to figure out how i can get into the mechanism to add some more positions. Failing that Ill have to weld them in the position I want Also going to look into getting the seatbases modified to reduce their over all depth by roughly 80mm, will make them the same size as the stock seats then. They look brilliant in there! Bet you can’t wait to have them fettled in for good! I’ve got some Range Rover evoque seats sat in the garage waiting for Fitment after initial trial (worth it at £50 the pair though!)

I did look at those too! Wanted a set fixed to the bases or so i thought

No solid decisions yet, initially I was going to use the electric runners as fitted, onto custom mounts to the raptor plates I have fitted (currently have dormibile dormatic seats that fold down into beds, but the wife despises them). But I think using aftermarket runners and then onto the custom mounts will allow me to lower the overall height, as they are quite high at the front. The main time consuming task will be hooking up the drivers seat electrics as it relies on CAN signals from the door mounted memery settings & memory module etc, I’ll likely hardwire to the motors, and install some fancy switches. The passenger side I’ve already hacked to use the existing seat module. Won’t be home till November so I’m hoping the mice we normally have on the garage don’t take fancy too them, normally it’s my cycling kit!!!

In the process of doing the same myself. Not to concerned re height at the moment and fixing to 3mm bar on seat box.
Moving the switches to the side of cubby box as can't access them when the door is closed and replacing hole with a blank. Have to see about wiring heaters into defender switches for the OEM look. Looking forward to being able to recline the backs when in need of a nap. May I ask why you have raised the back so much, the mech on the seats should give all the position permutations anyone could need? |

I put a set of front seats in my middle row. CSW so I could move them back a couple of inches, and made them sit slightly lower than they normally would. I looked at fitting up the seats to the original frames, but decided it was be more work than just fabricating a frame from scratch, so I got some thick wall 1" box and did that!
I replaced the floor upstend and mid crossmember at the same time, so rather than bolting to the floor, the frame bolts all the way through and picks up on the crossmember. Click image to enlarge |

In short, the wife struggled to get the clutch all the way to the floor without excessive pressure on the seat base. I had used the rise adjuster, but the rail then points skywards with the seatbox, so as it went forward it raised the front edge. By slamming the seat and straightening the rails kept allowed it to follow a more comfortable position for her. However despite all that, when I actually get round it it, I’ll just rig it to be in her ideal position. In all fairness I’d tried a few varieties, but didn’t take photos, I used that one as example only!

Watching with interest Bankz. Can you remove the backs on the seats to make them slimmer? I took a look at RRS interiors and the seats do seem to be shorter in length than yours, but with the same issue with the rake of the back. Just realised yours are RRS aren't they? I wonder if rather than messing with the mechanism you could simply cut down the front of the seat base by a couple of inches and retrim the leather? Monsieur Le Grenadier
