Unless I'm mistaken, the front diff is a standard 24 spline, 3.54 ratio Rover type diff. Only the rear axle on a 110 has a P38/Wolf differential (unless it's an earlier Salisbury axle of course)

^^ Correct. A P38 short nose diff won't fit the front axle of either a Puma or a TD5.
You need a Rover pattern (long nose) diff. TD5 and Puma are interchangeable in the front across all wheelbases (90, 100, and 130), however you may want to consider fitting a four-gear diff as used (allegedly) on late Puma 110 and 130 models (and possibly 90s) since the earlier two-gear diff is of marginal strength. You don't seem to hear of TD5s destroying two-gear diffs, but Pumas do regularly and the four gear diff is the only sensible option for these. |
