The late kit doesn’t seem to contain the little 90degree elbow off the manifold though. Which is prone to splitting in the 2.2s
I’d personally be buying from BAS or Alive. More expensive but well made and fit properly. 2011 Defender DCPU 2.2 - https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic30623.html Instagram - @r22oyp Roy |

Picked up the right hoses today from trek overland. Just replaced the damaged one and skinned all my knuckles. Wish I’d read about the hot water thing before!!

Did the other side this morning. Marked out 2 hours but it took 30mins! The air box came out nice and easy, as did the old hose. New hose slipped on nicely and everything went back together well. I’m off to buy a lottery ticket!!

Have you done the elbow off the inlet manifold? That's the most difficult but unfortunately also the most prone to splitting.

Changing these hoses if you do the 90* elbow as well is a bit like the LOF clutch pedal spring it can go well for some but not as well for others

So the 2.2 has a silicone elbow off the turbo where the 2.4 has a rigid plastic? > 110 XS Double Cab

The elbow I was referring to is the one low down on the left hand side of the engine, not from the turbo.
I was under the impression that the hoses were the same on both engines, but I only have the 2.2 to look at so apologies if I'm mistaken . |

I paid my dues and then some with the Lof pedal spring, so this is payback!

Need to do my hoses but not sure on this late early thing mines 2013, need 3 pieces from what i can see
1 turbo to intercooler 2 intercooler to pipe with air sensor in it and 3 the elbow to throttle housing. BAS picture looks right but they have only one type? |
