The shiny black videotape-quality plastic on the centre console seems rather at odds with the posh stitched leather on the rest of the dash and steering wheel.
Really can't decide if I like it or not at the moment. I'm leaning more towards the not. Hard to see how a manual might work with a Rampant Rabbit on the dash for the gear selection. --- 2006 Defender 110 SW 300Tdi • 2011 Ford Ranger XLT crewcab • 2015 Defender 110 Station Wagon Utility TDCi |

If the shiny black plastic is not part of the 'real' dash, there would be no need for the big flap of masking material which clearly is intended to cover it up (flipped back on top of the dash in the photo). I reckon therefore that exposed plastic is part of the final article.

Look back at the dash interior pic thread leaked in February ( which some though an early prototype) and i can't see any big differences between the leak and the fully visible parts pictured in this thread ... Suggesting that the leaked pic from Feb is very accurate to the final look.

Bearing in mind that these are prototype vehicles, it's quite common for plastic parts to not have their production finish. Who knows how close these are to the final product? Darren

It’s all a bit of guess work at the minute, but my money is on that most of the dash is real, however (don’t shoot me down) looking closely at the black centre moulding I think it might be a temp part to facility the temp mounting of the emergency button etc. The previously leaked mock dash is very similar but the mouldings around the gearstick etc are tight whereas in the latest shot the cover plastic is a very loose fit. One other possibility is that testing has identified a sunlight glare issue and this is a trial fit of a sunshade mod for the display.
Looking forward now to see what we are getting. If it’s as good as my D4 off road /on road I will be happy but it’s never going to have the character of my 90. Only thing is, how well is going to live up to the test of ours? Will it be an easy fix like our? will it be as easy to mod? A few people have been close to the protos, but not one of them have had a look at the interior at all.
I will laugh my head off if they just decided to keep the original defender design, and this thing was just to test the new tech. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back Success is 90% Inspiration and 4 minutes Preparation # you can make it! |

Starting to get very interesting. I think both those pics could be close to production. The sparse centre console on the leaked interior pic is likely to be the S or commercial variant with coil springs and no terrain respond gadgetry. The recent pic could be the HSE spec. 110 MY23.5 X Dynamic HSE

The dash looks like a futuristic prototype made in the 80s... the drive selector location makes it look like an arcade game.
Would much prefer a stalk for the drive selector, a nice mechanical lever with tactile feedback. |

Hey, I am new here.
Using the picture of the truck from the gauge cluster, I photoshopped the 110 to a 90 to see what it would look like. |
