Live feed in engine bay for running lights
I’ve fitted a new bumper with running lights. It’s comes with wiring kit including relay. Where in the engine bay would you recommend I can easily take a live feed from within the engine bay to save running it through the bulkhead?

Alternator output, fused as close as possible in-line.

The stud has a plastic cover and a specific Torque. Thumbs Up No Guts, No Glory.

Having taken a look this evening getting access to the alternator output on the TDCI is a sod so need a new plan.

The bumper lights are fused with a 3 amp fuse (2 lamps that have 5 x 1.5w LEDs so not pulling a lot of current).

Any other ideas?

Hi
I also gave up on the alternator and decided to go back to the battery, fitted a voltage sensitive switch and this has been working just fine. Its a fairly easy route back to the seat box area and everything is contained there for future access. 1984 One-Ten CSW

The main power connection from the alternator to the battery on the TDCi runs in the harness that passes over the top front of the engine, so it would be extremely accessible to tap into this cable.

Thanks Blackwolf. Can you be any more specific on its location? Sorry electronics are not my strong point!
