There was one in an auction last month.
200k miles and needed full refurbishment and it still fetched 8 grand. The prices seem to be on the up. They are awesome though. I am currently rebuilding one at the mo. |

Hi
It’s for sale again in EBay with a starting bid of £8000 with 240k on the clock. For it to be at the standard I would want I believe it would need a re-chassis, all new suspension, possibly engine rebuild, and lots of paint work and new outer wings as well as many other parts. The interior looks very tatty as well. I would assume I would need to invest about an extra £5k (with my own free labour , as always with Land rovers). Are you rebuilding a 110 or 90? Kind regards Click image to enlarge |

Hey there.
I am building a 110.It required Loads of new bits. The good thing about the one I bought was most of the genuine Tomb Raider bits were with it and good condition. Mine required chassis and lots and lots of body work. Personally I wouldn't pay 8k for that one. You would need to budget at least 10k. I know this sounds crazy. Chassis 2.5k Bulkhead 1k if you can get one. Seen them gping for over 3k Paint ??? probably 3k if you want a decent job. B pillers 1k I spent a lot of time on ebay picking up bits here and there and have been pretty lucky. I alos made sure everything I bought was traceable. The most difficult bit was the tub. Mine was absolutely rotten. I eventually found a relatively good csw one which I fitted a genuine rear bulkhead too. My friend had one lying around. When I priced up that panel it was over 600 quid. I about fell over. Then my friend gave me one for 20 quid. Its a labour of love and one day I will get it finished. Good luck in your search. |

I'll keep an eye out, I see both a 90 and 110 on the way home from work, most days.

My Son has a 110 Tomb Raider he's selling, it's a tidy one very recently fitted with a new galvanised chassis, all the doors have been replaced with the more recent TDCI ones, the wheels have been refurbished to the original spec, the all original half leather seats are in good condition.
It's on about 120k miles. The car is located near Manchester. He's after £20'000 for it. Edited to add, it also has a few added extras such as heated seats, heated windscreen, central locking, electric windows and sat-nav. |

I had a 110 tomb raider, bought from a dealer almost new, was their demo car.
It was the worst Land Rover I had ever owned. Lights would fail, engine could not be turned off, spent four of my six months of ownership in the dealers workshop. Eventually at the threat of court action 8 got them to buy it back. Seems there was a batch of chassis that had a seam inside that wore through the wiring loom, no offer to re-chassis it, will have just been sold on to the next mug. Shame, it was a nice motor when it was working. 80" 1948 Lightweight V8 Bowler Tomcat 130 Station wagon 90 300tdi (Santana PS10 pick up) Range Rover L322 (Ful fat) |
