2015 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 XS CSW Indus Silver

Puma clock

My clock seems to be pretty poor at keeping time, and I regularly have to add or subtract minutes with the buttons. I'm guessing it may be a quartz clock with a dodgy crystal....anybody else had problems?

Mine gives me an approximate indication of the time, needing some adjustment every three months. It is after all a forty year old design in a Defender

2007 Defender 90 Other CSW Trident Green

My clock has stopped at 2.15 though I have to say it is accurate to the minute twice a day.

I always thought a quartz movement would be far too modern so JLR knowing the water ingress of the Defender opted for the water clock movement. So depending on the water drop frequency behind the dash it will either run slow or fast

Mine is fairly accurate, very rare I have to alter it. Usually putting forward or back for the spring /winter is the only time I touch it.

Only have to change the time twice yearly. For winter and summertime adjustment. Otherwise keeps the time perfectly.
Eric You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.
