Thought that insurance premiums were set to rise this year. Was pleasantly surprised when mine dropped this year. This years quote was €490. 05 (£436.43) compared to last years €508.65(£452.99). 08 Puma 110 County, fully comprehensive for me and the Mrs.Life is still full of surprises. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

Having been with NFU for may years I was not best pleased to find out the premium required for renewal next week had gone up by over 200 notes so I have taken my business elsewhere. I believe NFU have lost a fair number of customers due to premium hikes this year. Steve.
Owned numerous Land Rover vehicles of all shapes and sizes over the decades. Current Defender: A non tarts hand-bagged Puma 110 XS USW. [Insert something impressive here such as extensive list of previous Land Rovers or examples of your prestigeous and expensive items, trinkets, houses, bikes, vehicles etc] http://forums.lr4x4.com I used to be Miserable ...but now I'm ecstatic. |

Adrian Flux.....
Mine too went up by 60%, predominantly due to an 'outstanding claim' by some clown in a Citroen C1 who was in the wrong lane and I ripped his front wing off. I was NOT AT FAULT. See here if interested still laugh at it now... http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic4297.html?highlight=citroen Well got on the blower and pointed out that the increase was unsustainable and wanted a better deal....Within 24 hours the 'outstanding claim' had been cleared and Adrian Flux had found me the same level of insurance with another company for a total increase of just 10% above the previous year's premium. Wonder how many individuals may have just taken the hit and not queried it or gone to another provider???? If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |
