Hi,
My TD5 currently has stock 3.54 gears. going from stock to 35" tires and lockers. i've been looking at ashcroft's gear calculator here: https://www.ashcroft-transmissions.co.uk/calc/ratio_calc.html on my gasser v8 RRC with 1.2 transfer boxes i always went 4.12 or 4.75.. however with the storm tuned td5 and 1.4 transfer box it seems like even 4.12 would be too low of a gear for 35" tires. what do most of you do when you go to bigger tires? thanks |

i see you have a 2007 110. are you still using the stock gears in the p38 diff or did you switch to the ashcroft 3.54 gears? i keep reading the p38 diff is weak and i should switch it for sals..

Profiles out of date
![]() My comments are for 2001 TD5 90. Comfortable cruising speed is 65mph to 70mph. I also have an overdrive which I can use on the level and downhill if I'm doing over 65mph. |
