Bulkhead Change
Going to be swapping my bulkhead on my58 due to corrosion on the top passenger side as I managed to get a galv one for just under £1K.

Is there a way to do this without draining the coolant and brake fluid.
It has aircon which I know will need to be recovered etc. Just ticked over to 75k miles and dont think its had a coolant change. Brake fluid is technically due to be changed as it's over 2 years old.

Would it be possible to clamp the hoses that pass through the bulkhead in to the dash to prevent losing to much fluid from the cooling system? It has ABS so I'm guessing the pipes for the modulator will all need disconnecting etc?

Any other tips and advice would be greatly appreciated.

Just drop the fluid. Its not expensive of difficult to replace. Instagram @defender_ventures

What's the best way of dropping the fluids? Oil cooler? Clutch fluid would be needing dropped as well wont it?

Decided I am just going to drop all the fluids anyway as the service is due within weeks after I plan on changing the bulkhead out.

On that note its back from the painters along with new cappings and the rear brackets either side of the tailgate. Made sure they went to town with the seam sealer. All the parts look ace Very Happy

All replacement seals etc have also arrived. Looking forward to getting stuck in with it.

Thinking of doing a timelapse video of it and if anyone needs specific pictures of any areas I'll be more than happy to help out.

Plan is to kick things off on the 21st July, I'll keep this thread updated.
