Battling 1103 error and loss of power
I have two things happening and maybe they are related. I get the MIL indicator and the only error is 1103. I have replaced the MAF sensor and I am getting a scoop to mount to try and get more air flow to see if that helps.

This doesn't happen all the time and mostly when it is cold outside.

While I am driving on the highway at speed and the then the engine loses power and the 6th is worthless, I pull to a stop, turn off the engine and then turn back on. It fixes the problem. Obviously I can't just do this all the time, I need to find out what to do.

Are these two things related? Is my Turbo the problem, for example maybe it is sticking.

Thanks for your thoughts.

Rob

it's weird that it's restricting power. my 2.4 gave this code a couple of times, swapped the MAF and still threw up the code. swapped the EGR and it didnt come back. I wasnt getting any power loss though. The only time I had power loss was when I had a duff battery and my diognostic thing said it I had an over boost problem. Restarted the car and it was gone.

Remove the boost control sensor and clean it with MAF cleaner, that will fix your problem.
