25 years of dreaming finally over!

Yesterday was a special day! I finally brought my first defender! After dreaming and wanting one for 25 years I can properly say I am now living the dream!

Drove the 450miles back from Edinburgh so have got to know it pretty Well! 🤣

I have been on here for a while reading and learning and I will be relying on you guys as I already have a list of stuff I need to sort!

It is a rebuild and was lovingly done but there are a few bits that still need sorting. The main one seems to be sound insulating and effectively sealing some areas from the outside. I.e door seals that I can see daylight through!

I will try and read through the forums as much as possible before asking stupid questions! (Trust me they will stupid technical questions as I am a first time to it all!)

Look forward to read and questioning.

To answer your point. Loads! 🤣 but I will be restricted by my three young kids and obviously the wife! 😂. Not to mention budget as now buying this I am skint. My first plan is to get all things working properly that should be and also improve security. Eventually low profile roof rack! For all surfboards and holiday kit. Plus under body protection so I can do Green laning etc. As that is my goal. I really want to go on an organised trip on Salisbury plain (which is close) and learn what the truck can do but first I need it working properly.

Lovely looking Defender. Is that the one that was rebuild on the anodised chassis by the fella who sadly passed away? If it is you’ve a good one.

Hi box of tricks yes it is! The guy helping sell it was awesome and really helpful. Now I hope to do the truck justice and finish it off so I can keep for a very long time. Hence need the help of this forum! 👍
