Interior light
So whilst removing the headliner I’ve managed to blow the fuse on the interior light ( 2011 TDCI 110). Stereo and clock stopped so replaced 10amp fuse 17.

Stereo and clock now working but no interior lights. Am I missing something?

I had the exact similar problem a few weeks ago. The light worked if i manually turned it on or off but didn't work automatically off the door switch. It coincided with me having some work done by an independent and whilst i was having work done I got the garage to have a quick look over and see if I wasn't missing anything obvious. They couldn't find any explanation so concluded the unit itself was blown. I have ordered a genuine replacement light unit as it was only £20

The light unit is a very simple affair of a bulb and two contacts so it's very unlikely to have 'blown'. The automatic function, however, is controlled via the alarm system, as it's linked to the central locking. I'd therefore be checking fuses associated with the alarm (there are several of them so refer to the diagram on the fuse box lid). Have your indicators stopped flashing when locking or unlocking by any chance, as that's a good indicator (ha!) of an alarm fuse issue? Darren

I don’t think my light unit is damaged as both interior lights have stopped working. The indicators still function when the alarm it turned on and off.

I will check all fuses this evening.

Well I don't have an alarm or central locking so hadn't noticed that as a issue but will have a look at the fuses when I get the chance.

All sorted now. Went back over everything and replaced the fuse and it all works again. May have been a poor earth?

Unfortunately, even if you don't have those features, the 10AS unit that controls them all is still present and is an integral part of the wiring. Darren

yeah I realise the 10as will still have the circuits, I only meant as I haven't got the features I hadn't noticed an issue and didn't jump out at me [Just a case of me being slow unfortunately] hahaha
