Picked up the 110 on Tuesday, very happy with the machine, very unhappy with the build quality. Problems already are,
1. Rear diff 'ticking' identified by dealer as faulty and needs replacing 2. Exhaust manifold blowing 3. Squealing from engine on power lift off 4. Loose screw or similar rattling around inside the dash 5. Loose screw rattling around the drivers seat box 6. Paint missing from inside of rear door slams 7. Paint runs around hinges 8. Drill swarf all over the interior under the carpets This car cost £29000, it has done 150 miles, should I be thinking of rejecting it and demanding a replacement or should I let the dealer put it right? Well against my better judgement I have collected the repaired 110 today from GS Stockport, I was all set to reject it earlier this week but decided to inspect the repairs first. To their credit they look to have done a superb job and the car now looks and performs as it should have when I collected it in November. I guess they deserved a chance and I will see how things go over the next few days.
Felt great to get back in it after spending 10 days in a FFRR TDV8, something intangible about the Defender that i love. Hope it doesn't let me down again. Andy |

Good stuff Andy.
I'd give it a good thorough going over in the next week and if anything aint right, then I reckon it's back to the dealer for an outright rejection. Here's hoping all works out the way you want it. |

Very nice... Also, did not realise I could swap the tyres - the G Grabs are okay but seem a bit bouncy on road compared to my last 90 with G All Ts... I went for Java and whilst it looks great clean, dirty not so great. And on the swarf front everytime I vacumn more seems to appear, Paint on the roof around the windows is crap, and should be better.
