The LF XGT 240 DO NOT work directly on the bumper without considerable attention to the grill which need rather large holes cut in it due to depth of the XGT's.... |

I think it's very smart and following the project I can see you've enjoyed yourself and thats what it's all about, I personally don't care if your taking it round the world or messing about greenlaning as long as your happy with it. I personally would lose the lights and bullbar (just get covered in crap anyway) 10 fwd facing lights is a tad excessive, it's probably cheaper to have laser eye correction. Have you fitted a hidden winch yet. Look fwd to seeing the car at an event Original Member Pie n Pea Club.

+1 from me... couldn't have put it better.... BUT.... Before Gazellio goes off on his overland travels though, I'd ditch the purple t-shirted oompa-loompa climbing up the rack ladder. Jon - 110 td5 [sold]. Currently Defenderless. |

Rack looks nice. Did some kind, but short, person let you have it for a song AND fit it for you one dark, freezing night?

Thanks Willy I am really enjoying putting it together and really enjoy getting it offroad. I understand comments re the Front 240's but I am a child at heart and have always longed for a Ralley Style lights since the days of the Escort Mexico! At £350 you don't just discard them either I am going to try an powdercoat the A-Bar and see what this looks like. I have looked into other ways of attaching the lights but there are not many without seriously operating on the grille and bumper. I will keep you posted Last edited by gazellio on 23rd Jun 2011 1:50pm. Edited 2 times in total |

Ok I understand your opinion on the bar. It is only there to fix the lights without otherwise altering the car. I will be regularly offroading it via the D3 Club events (And FRR & Disco3 events) and plan a few proper trips to Spain & North Africa with them in due course. Its a personal project but if it helps attract business that would be good too |
