[For Sale] Superwinch EXP 10i
For sale Superwinch EXP 10i £650 ONO

Specs as per here
https://superwinch.global/products/superwi...rope-winch

TLDR this is the Top of the line premium winch designed to compete with the Zeon from warn, Sadly Superwinch had a few management problems and so the company isn't trading Per se.

Brand new sealed in the box with the Wire rope and roller fairlead, all mounting hardware is there and you also get a Accessory cable to make the most of the included power points on the winch.

Imho it looks like a nicely made and the built in 'mood' lighting means working in the dark isn't a problem.

Standard spacing fitment means it will fit (90%) most bumpers on the D44 it is close to the grill but it doesn't touch.

Sorry for stupid question, but will this take a synthetic rope?

Also, will there be issues with spares considering Superwinch is no longer trading? I assume so.....

Thanks

Hi. Good Question.

Superwinch in name and some of their IP and assets have been acquired by Westin automotive a large amercan automotive company. https://modernjeeper.com/superwinch-to-be-...utomotive/
So this being the latest model then I would at a carefull guess then assume spares availability would be good. If you own an earlier Husky or EP series then specific gear spares and brake parts I will assume will become harder to find as that was a Tavistock built and that (the UK side) has closed and shut down. Most stock went back to the states, a lot was sold in a clearance auction and all that remains is a few random boxes and the dust.

The Electric winch shop is probably superwinch's biggest UK agent and as such any spares enquirey should go through them.

Honestly I have confidence in long term spares but now they will all have to come from the states the unit price will go up (just compare warn from USA to UK price)

I have personally fitted this series of winch to the front of my 110, And like the previous resident (an 6 year old EP 9.5) I expect a good lifespan before even worrying about it going wrong.

And yes it will take Synthetic Wink As fitted this morning

I imagine that, as with all winches of the epicyclic type, the usual caveats apply if you're using synthetic rope and winching out under load.

Ohh yes that's why they have a special set up on the gearbox end to mount the brake to keep the heat away from the drum. That's a feature core to the superwinch range that I have always liked. Also can be found on Fb, Ytube, Insta & Twitter @4WDSouthwest

Yup.
The likes of the Warn 9.5 Ti or XP even the powerplant and the EXP's competitor the ZEON has an in drum Cam brake assembly. which as you said, When powering out underload can cause enough heat to melt the rope.

Yet apart from the LP series and the husky (worm and wheel) the big winches for 4x4's have had an external cone brake.

Thumbs Up

Here's the offical superwinch bumf on this winch

BUMP

Only a few weeks before I go on my hols to Milton Keynes I can arrange to meet on route. or when at the site. As postage would be about £25 quid as they are flipping heavy. Also can be found on Fb, Ytube, Insta & Twitter @4WDSouthwest
