Driver's footwell rust

Hello everybody

My Defender's got a fair bit of rust in the driver's footwell. Picture attached.

Does anybody have any advice as to the best course of action to remedy it?

cut out rusty metal work and use repair panel or steel metal and mig weld in new metal prim & finish paint or go too good local land rover specialist get a quote for the work

^^^^ This as mentioned.
Don't forget corrosion prevention treatment for any seams and the underside also.

For a small part like that you could finish the paint match with an aerosol metallic to match too.
Plenty on eBay, if you can find the colour code etc.

Thanks for the advice, so disconnect the pedals and use an angle grinder to cut it out?

2011 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 USW Zermatt Silver

Use a cutting disc or suitable fret saw. Be aware what’s on the other side and watch out for sparks igniting anything. Take special note of fuel lines etc.
