Don't forget corrosion prevention treatment for any seams and the underside also. For a small part like that you could finish the paint match with an aerosol metallic to match too. Thanks for the advice, so disconnect the pedals and use an angle grinder to cut it out?

Use a cutting disc or suitable fret saw. Be aware whatโs on the other side and watch out for sparks igniting anything. Take special note of fuel lines etc.
