First time posting on this thread - mainly because its the first bit of work I have done to my Land Rover in a ling time.
This weekend saw me replacing the bushes on the 110 without the aid of a press. I was putting on Superpro Polybushes but getting the ond ones out was tricky. Arms are tired from saying and belting them with an approprite drift, but all bar the A frame ball joint bushes are done. I will save those as a little treat from myself on my next free weekend. 2002 Defender 110 DC |

Fitted new power lead to cb direct from battery. Still have interference. Went shooting in the morning, then, in the afternoon I spent a few hours doing a bit of reconissance for a new Shropshire green lane run.

Yesterday, whilst out on a training session, I stumbled across a very lost Cat on Cannock Chase.......
Being a bit cat mad, couldn't let her stay lost, so whizzed back to the car park and then went back to pick her up. Obviously didn't have any carrier with me so just popped her in the front with me, where she just curled up on my lap as I drove back home, occasionally lifting her head and turning the wipers on! Off to the vets with her today to see if she's microchipped, if not, will have to door knock around the houses on the Chase..... Thanks Greeni, We are already getting involved with the CPL anyway. The other half is taking on some admin work and we've some spare ground that they maybe putting some Foster Cages in. Hopefully, she's from one of the big houses on Penkridge Bank as that's not too far (albeit a long way for a moggy) away from where I found her. x-isle - you have (a) pussy on your lap and are in a Defender - Paradise!
About to pick up a new mower. Our Husqvarna R53 SV has done sterling work over three-ish years but it's starting to die (already on 2nd set of wheels). Offered a good p/x price and picking up a Honda Izy 21" mower (self propelled, 5.5hp) this afternoon in the 110. Looks a lot sturdier - any power garden tools get a SERIOUS workout in our garden. Bit of a PITA sometimes needing commercial grade equipment for a garden but I do quite enjoy it! Defender 110XS SW gone... now VW California 180 4 Motion. |

Your cat is corroding?! I failed to fix the choke switch on my 90, but did acquire lots of sealant to deal with the various holes this summer weather has kindly highlighted for me. |
