is this the way to do it - rebuild in the USA ...
I just found this and thought it was a very interesting concept .. but wonder how much of the original vehicle use be used to keep the ‘classic’ and ‘original’ status in the USA...
Looks like a thorough job
Maybe we will see one re-imprted to the UK ??

Loads of companies doing similar now. Locally we have Arkonik who pedal their wares over the pond for silly money. https://www.instagram.com/arkonik/

The best I have seen are Tophat. https://www.instagram.com/tophatclassics/
Their Defenders are in a different league to anything including Twisted etc.

For a different aesthetic but similar concept Cool'n Vintage look amazing but I'm yet to see one in the metal. https://www.instagram.com/coolnvintage/?hl=en

I know nobody is really interested but getting parts for some of these creations in the future when Defenders are no longer the toy of choice for those who have to follow the most recent trend in order to be seen as cool, with it and down with the hipsters, is going to be a nightmare.
A friend of son in law wants a Defender for exactly those reasons and couldn't care less about the price, or keeping it for more than a minute when they are no longer "trendy" It is not a Defender, it is a One_Ten

The funny thing with the US is that it has to be original while importing it but after that you can change everything. If you would build it that way in the UK you wouldn't get it in the USA. Roel

Ahem Osloblue voice of the young typing:

I'm in my 20's and i didn't buy my defender on a whim. I went through god knows how many different cars and it had to stop. So i said to myself if i had to have one car for the next 20 years what would it be? And hence why i'm here.

My mate & family had defenders for their farm, and pretty much only use them on the farm, they have a Ferrari California & VXR8 for getting about town.

Now i have one and use it as my daily driver a couple of mates have seen the cool factor. And are trying to procure them. A couple of them are outdoors men or construction workers like myself. A couple want them for travelling as they're explorers.

Only one of them wants one because of pure cool factor, but i think its more down to personalisation

Roel: i've spoken with a couple of american defender owners, seems a lot of people import them in order to modify the Censored out of them and whack on a price tag just like they do here.

They think that the NAS spec price is justification for a eurospec... I'm on IG: https://www.instagram.com/osloblue42/
