Is your roof gloss black or satin. Mine is just straight silver and am going for black bits soon. Having the roof wrapped and buying bits for the grill. steerign guard, vents etc. Questions I'm debating is to buy gloss black bits or a more Mat/satin. It's a lot of cash to change so wondered what you have and is there any chance can you send a few more photos of the combo? I love the look of Silver Defenders personally. Cheers in advance. |

My roof is gloss, from the factory I presume ? agreed can’t beat the black/silver combo, I’m going with all gloss black parts too, the great thing with these, it’s all personal and can change at will

Only 6 months into ownership and it’s on a ramp in bits
Click image to enlarge The clutch died on me at the weekend, sourced an uprated clutchfix kit, so should last a bit longer, also purchased the Ashcroft output shaft kit to do whilst it’s in bits just to be safe Click image to enlarge Glad I did as the original was well corroded Oh Ashcroft

Been a mad couple of weeks, after fitting the clutch and output shaft I had a trip to flatdog, new roof rack and ladder fitted and I love it, great place and lovely people..

Today we made up for the wet bank holiday weekend and got stuck into the sound deadening, rear floor, back and sides done, genuinely thought I’d have enough for the roof too so more ordered
A very satisfying job, and the thud as the doors shut now is lovely

I can thoroughly recommend getting some 6mm foam over that Silent Coat, on the sides above and below the waistline. Doing the roof in a similar manner will also make a huge difference. In practice, you don't need to cover quite so much of each panel with Silent Coat but the foam should go edge to edge to get the best effect.

Totally covered the sides as smooth as possible as I’m carpet lining them, the floor will have a mat back down, the roof is a bit patchwork but still makes a difference, managed to get the roof lining reinstalled, utility sides behind the trim carpeted and a few bits of trim also covered..... slow but sure
