JLR Vs Twisted
Jungle drums are saying that JLR are not at all happy with Twisted.

Recently JLR lossed a court case against Twisted about a trade name. I think JR Motors was the name. 130's have feeling's as well you know Smile

Back in December the courts ruled they could continue using the name LR Motors.

Not sure if there were rulings on any other copyright infringements.

My local dealer has said to me that Twisted tell their customers that 'Land Rover will fix it under warranty'. The answer is 'no, take it back to Twisted'.

LR Motors seemed to show ex Nene Overland Stock.

I fully appreciate the issues around trade names and intellectual property rights. However JLR are being a bit heavy handed recently. They've registered the term "Landy", a common slang name they have NEVER used for any their products or businesses.

Now they want exclusive use use of the letters L and R, one 13th of the alphabet. Evil or Very Mad

Numerous LR Specialist have had to change trading names in the last few years after JLR stopped them using LR or Defender in their name. Defender4x4 received a letter from JLR in 2016 demanding they stop using Defender, they're now Cult4x4.

Good on Twisted for standing up to them. James

In The Times this morning, JLR lost and Twisted can continue to use the name:
