Those following the half shaft thread will be aware that I have discovered some not inconsiderable driveline slack. On further investigation I have come to the conclusion that it is not (as suspected) the half shaft, or the diff, or the transmission but is likely a US Universal Joint at the rear diff. As such I intend to replace it, and the one at the transmission end, but cannot decide which one to by. Clearly want good kit that will last, but can anyone recommend a brand? Bearmach, GKN, Hardy Spicer? Monsieur Le Grenadier

GKN and Hardy Spicer are the same company, one brought the other in 1966, I would go with them UJs are highly stressed components. DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS,
