Oh cock, damn this post and forum I’ve just bought a roof rack for the 110. 😬. Hopefully it will all be ok. It won’t fit in the garage but will be good for the trip to Norway in the summer 👍

Delivery cost is the same as the purchase cost, which given the size isn’t a great shock..

My remarkably simple plan is to get 3 tall friends to help me. That should do it.

Right, there are two lessons here. Firstly, don't order stuff online whilst on the train back from London having spent a few hours in the pub. Secondly if it looks too good to be true it probably is. It turns out in the cold light of day that I'd ordered 2 roof racks, at £60 each. The shipping cost on the order was 0.00. I got an email this morning saying that the shipping costs were £230 and 'was that ok' so I've cancelled the order. Phew. |

To be fair to Bearmach they processed the refund instantly, which is good. I don't have to explain to Mrs H why there are 2 roof racks being delivered. It was only drinking IPA too!

Yeah, they just quoted me £115 delivery too. Still cheapish for a big rack like that but more than I want to spend at the minute. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS
