Good afternoon,
I have Defender 110 TDCI 2.4 (Puma). 2008 with the standard Wishy-washy sound In the meantime I have been halfway the Netherlands to investigate what caused this wishy washy sound and the possiblility to do something about this transit sound (Wishy-washy engine sound). Everything works well at my car. No leaks, good working high pitched turbocharger, inlet side cleaned. and no remap and standaar components I have two questions: - Is it possible getting rid of the Wishy-washy engine sound? (engine modifications) - Is it possible to driving around without this high pitched (whistling) tone out of the turbocharger? https://drive.google.com/file/d/1K7STynRle...sp=sharing Thank you for reading this topic Kind regards Mario (Apologies for my bad english) Last edited by Persepolis on 15th Mar 2019 4:58pm. Split intercooler hose?
I can hardly hear the turbo on my 110 so perhaps that's the whistle. No idea what a wishy washy sound is - only one I can think of has the viscous fan seized? There's a thread somewhere on here about starting it from cold and stopping the fan with a rolled up newspaper if I remember correctly. Good luck and let us know if you fix the problem Keith |
