Rear demister
The demister in my rear door window on my 14 plate 90 doesn’t seem to be time limited. Is this normal?

That’s right,
Push button to turn it On
Push button again to turn it Off

Simples 👍

on or off but it is regulated by the voltage sensitive relay which means if like me, you have a front window demister with the lights on, it won't work, unless you turn off the front demister or the lights or both.

phew that was a mouthfull Laughing

^^ Strange, should not be the case. Irrespective of your battery resting voltage, when engine is running, your alternator should continuously provide more than 14.0V to the system, and this up to 150 amps. So plenty of juice to run both headlights and front heated windshield together.
Eric You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.

My alternator might be weak, it is over 20 years old to be fair.
