What size rims have you got them on out of interest?

Is there a lot of tread on these? All the pics seem to show less tread from what I can see compared to my GG TR's

16 boost alloys. I went from 265’s and was a bit worried that the 235’s wouldn’t fit the wheel arch and look like a dinky toy - they don’t - they look good in my opinion. No discernible difference for the tyre in the wheel arch if that’s what you were considering. Producer / glasses-wearer / Londoner (& er Oxfordshire) 🎬 👓 💂‍♂️

So currently I have 235/85/16 with GG TR's, if I just swap those for 235/85/16 Michelins, all will be well and I won't have a 'dinky car' ?

I went for these from BFG’s as I wanted a smoother quieter ride on road and it was a toss up between these and the Conti Cross. The Michelin’s were about £5 a corner more expensive. All the reviews I read said that these worked fine in the snow and mud and for me most of my time is in the road with a bit of horse box trailering in fields. Pics attached.

Including fitting its ÂŁ120 a corner.....They can get them in Reading if you do it online, but it seems they have run out of stock again for 4, they get them in by the day apparently, I had been trying since Monday, they only had 3, but I managed 4 today, they are centrally stored and despatched to a fitting place on order.

That doesn’t include any other discounts like exec 2% and Amex 1%, not sure if that’s included in tyre purchase though.
Looking forward to them JD 2008 TDCi 2.4 XS CSW |

In the days one could still buy a “new” Defender - the above Michelins were the OEM tyres on the 90. Were known to go impressive distances before needing to be replaced. Now difficult to source locally - but can be bought from a few specialist tyre suppliers/-retailers. |

So drove to Costco today to have 4 fitted.......Did an hours shop, and a guy comes out to find me in the store to say they can't fit my tyres.......not sure about jacking points and don't have high enough axle stands........
I now have 4 new tyres in the back of the truck..........I need them fitted before next weekend. 2008 TDCi 2.4 XS CSW |
