Interesting - this could widen the options for my replacement head unit. A couple of questions... Do the existing switches remain in the "old" bezel underneath the Raptor panel? What do the visible screws/bolts fix into?

The raptor panel fits over top of existing post 2002 td5 dash switches stay in existing holder indash the only thing the raptor panel does is allow to fit a double din
It screw directly to existing dash and you also have to cut lower part of existing dash to fit the d/din unit Mine is a pioneer CarPlay unit and it's superb 2008 110 2.4 XS Utility (Hagrid) 2002 90 TD5 Hardtop (Sully) Sold 1998 300TDi D1 (Billy) Sold |

Having looked through this .....I can see where the money is in the Raptor one but the Mud stuff looks like a waste of money and cheap - Surely anybody handy could make a better one from 3mm or 4mm or 5mm aluminium sheet the same as the Mud Stuff plate but better .....
Its gave me an idea .......... 2006 DEFENDER 90 TD5 CSW XS 2018 RANGE ROVER SPORT HSE DYNAMIC |

This radio on Ebay is single din fitting and has a screen that comes out and drops down insted of up. This would be more suitable for a TD5 dash installation. |

That would be simpler and easier to fit, but my concerns would be how good would it be and how long would it last being a no name brand.
Do you have enough clearance between the gear stick and the screen when changing gear?I'm currently weighing up a double din for mine with a raptor dash 2014 - current ..... 2003 defender td5 90 (my car) 2009 - current .... 2005 zx10r |

@pj2106 I know it was a little while ago but do you remember the double din cage you used? I've bought 2 and neither of them fit. I'm having a bit of a mare with it at the moment. Many thanks

I used the cage that came with the headunit
Be mindful some cages are slightly larger so you will need to enlarge the hole it fits into From memory the da120 I fitted I had to enlarge the hole on the raptor dash by about 5-8mm as although the unit is standard size the cage was larger I hope this helps? 2008 110 2.4 XS Utility (Hagrid) 2002 90 TD5 Hardtop (Sully) Sold 1998 300TDi D1 (Billy) Sold |
