Td5 springs on a Tdi
Hi,

I've had a quick look but can't find a definitive answer - I understand shocks between Tdi and Td5 are not easily interchangeable (without some modification), but are coils at least universal?

Any help would be massively appreciated,

Cheers,

Alf

They're all completely interchangeable. I fitted a set of take-off 2016 springs and shock to my old 1992 90 and it was a straight swap. Darren

Are the 110 rear springs not different from the 90 rear springs? Diameter? Roel

90tdi will fit 90tdci

Fortunately mine's a 90. One last thing, has anyone had any experience with spring isolators? Do they result in a bit of a lift? Or make any difference at all regarding cabin volume?

Isolators are generally a good thing, although they're designed to reduce harshness rather than noise. They do provide a small lift, in the region of 10mm, but you'd be hard pressed to tell without a tape measure.

This is my 90 following installation of new suspension including D1 isolators on the rear and D2 ones on the front:
