I am hoping so as well lol But that will be in the new year when i get new tyres and wheels. Saving for a diesel/night heater to install before winter arrives, as the original heater in the 90 has never worked 1995 Land Rover Discovery 300tdi - Sold 1989 Land Rover 90 - Rebuilding/built - its a project 2002 Land Rover Discovery TD5 - Sold 2017 Mini JCW F56 - Current Daily Driver |

Well S**T me... its done and dusted.... well needs a horn (overlooked that) and the screen wash isnt properly working.. But its finally built. And will be ready for an MOT once these last 2 little jobs are done.
Then its time to save for alot of modifications that are going to happen to it But here are a couple of photos from the weekend. It has been a long journey, with its ups and downs. But having never done anything like this before there is a massive sense of achievement and also lots being learnt along the way. I dont think the better half will let me do another one just yet 1995 Land Rover Discovery 300tdi - Sold 1989 Land Rover 90 - Rebuilding/built - its a project 2002 Land Rover Discovery TD5 - Sold 2017 Mini JCW F56 - Current Daily Driver |

Well the 90 now has an MOT, just got to tax it and then i can drive it.... It did have a few issues before the MOT like both Swivels on the front axle needed replacing after grease was put in to one of them and it all disappeared when it got to the MOT station. and the passenger side swivel had seen better days with the bush being pretty much non existent.
Also better send the paper work off to the DVLA informing them about the colour change. 1995 Land Rover Discovery 300tdi - Sold 1989 Land Rover 90 - Rebuilding/built - its a project 2002 Land Rover Discovery TD5 - Sold 2017 Mini JCW F56 - Current Daily Driver |

Great stuff! its very big relief when your build finally gets the go for been ok for the road. You should have seen the mot testers when I did the rover metro build. They were over the moon to see the finished product, even though they failed on a few things. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

Not much has happened lately only taken it out the once since it got its MOT..... Fuel gauge need looking at as that doesn't work at all.
I have also started to add sound insulation to the back (no photos of this) but going to be boarding out the van sides. Also saving up to get a removable wheel next and pedal lock 1995 Land Rover Discovery 300tdi - Sold 1989 Land Rover 90 - Rebuilding/built - its a project 2002 Land Rover Discovery TD5 - Sold 2017 Mini JCW F56 - Current Daily Driver |

Aye still adding to the 90 but it is a very slow process now, due to the fact am getting married in May so all my precious defender funds are going on the Big Day Hopefully this Saturday i will get the Van side panels covered in Ply board and look in to why the fuel gauge isnt working. After that my attention will be focusing on getting the split charge system in place 1995 Land Rover Discovery 300tdi - Sold 1989 Land Rover 90 - Rebuilding/built - its a project 2002 Land Rover Discovery TD5 - Sold 2017 Mini JCW F56 - Current Daily Driver |

Bit of an update....
Got the back of the 90 boarded out and sound proofed, whilst out driving in the rain i got wet (not uncommon in an old landy) so now chasing the leaks to seal them up. Found one in the roof which was where an arial had been screwed straight through and i had forgotten to sort out, plus a couple coming through the bulkhead. Also during the drive in the rain the windscreen wiper on the passenger side fell off so got that to fix as well Went to the spring adventure show on the Sunday and had a good wander about and had a catch up with friends. whilst i was there bought a glove box from Raptor engineering so that is also needed to be installed. Once these bits are done its then time to make a start on the split charge system 1995 Land Rover Discovery 300tdi - Sold 1989 Land Rover 90 - Rebuilding/built - its a project 2002 Land Rover Discovery TD5 - Sold 2017 Mini JCW F56 - Current Daily Driver |
