Guys, the wheels on my Heritage are in need of attention, the paint depth on the wheels is pretty poor, showing a little surface rust. My Dealer has offered to exchange them, but the ones they showed me looked equally poor. Frankly it won't take long for the replacement to deteriorate , so i would rather respray my originals. So now I'm trying to find the paint colour and code. Grasmere Green is the metallic main colour but the wheels are a flat paint.

I was about to suggest just that.
The original Heritage colour of Atlantic Green is very close to Grasmere (Paint code 1CD) Here's the Grasmere, Atlantic and Keswick on mine. Currently, I'm deciding what colour to paint my new HD wheels; I had thought the later Heritage wheels were the same as the body, obviously not! My sister had her HD steels changed under warranty. As I understand it, they come primed black, and only the outside is painted, ordinarily. However, the dealership my sister went to painted the replacements in their own bodyshop outside and in; two years later they are looking fine. If you like, I'll post the touch up paint to you, then you can do a direct comparison on the wheel? Current Steeds:

Thank you so much for your very kind offer. I had a similar thought earlier today and ordered a touch up paint from my local dealer. Your generosity epitomises the camaraderie of this forum. I’ll drop a note once I’ve checked it against the wheels.

Nige, I had exactly the same problem with my Heritage and eventually (with help from CRC) managed to get the wheels stripped, primed and painted properly as a goodwill thing under warranty. Believe it or not the bodyshop charged about £700 to do the job. The argument for getting it done under warranty was that JLR were unable to provide a set of wheels that were up to scratch - 3 new sets were delivered to the dealer and they were all marked / pitted / had rust coming through. Just wondering if the Celebration Heritage wheels are Grasmere or Atlantic?
I've a set of HD wheels to get painted. Well, actually the paint shop recommend powder coat then lacquer.. I had always assumed the wheels were body colour- interesting to hear they’re in fact different. Getting steel wheels painted is a bit of a minefield in my experience, hope you get it sorted 2014 Keswick Utility 2.2

Reading the posts above I'm still undecided if the wheels are indeed the same colour as the bodywork. That said, I'm about to have mine stripped and painted in Atlantic Green, and as Nige N suggested, there's next to naff-all difference. I'm waiting to see if my local wheel specialist thinks powder coating would be a better option.

Gents, sorry i should have updated this thread with the results of spraying my wheels. I did go ahead and respray the wheels on my heritage in Atlantic Green. Atlantic is a flat coat and matched the original paint used on the wheels. I would be interested to learn how you went on the the powder coating if that is the way you end up going

Eventually, I settled on a hybrid solution for my HD wheels.
At my local powder coater, I couldn't find a close match using the powder coat RAL codes (closest I though was "Pastel Green" 6019), and because it was an uncommon colour, it was going to be more expensive that the usual price for powder coat. I found another local company that did a powder base coat, then colour matched spray paint (using metallic Grasmere paint code) then a transparent top powdercoat. That’s interesting . . I never knew painting over powder coating was a thing. Another option for me to consider.
