Find specific examples of vehicles that match your old one for sale on Autotrader when you sort it by most expensive & simply ask for that money - they'll be trying to use the bottom end of the range & hopefully you'll agree on something closer to what you want. If not then tell them you want them to buy one of the higher priced vehicles as a direct replacement. Good luck with it & don't roll over too soon.

It's gutting to see those pictures knowing how much time and effort you'd put into making it yours.
Hopefully the insurance won't mess you around for to long and you can find a decent replacement quickly enough. Like the others have said, send them details of ones for sale similar to yours. You could use the advanced search on eBay to show recently sold as well, if that's of any use. Any thoughts which model you'll get as a replacement? 2007 - Stornoway Grey 90 XS SW - Gone 2002 - Black Discovery II - Gone 2014 - Montalcino Red 110 XS SW |

I have my eye set on a TD5 SX model to replace this with. But I will have to see the bank about adding a few more quid to my loan for this one. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back Success is 90% Inspiration and 4 minutes Preparation # you can make it! |

Damn procta much worse then I imagined, really hit home on the forum.
All that for a pair of bloody axels? Is it worth having an ask round the local clubs to see who has a new set of axels? What’s the going rate on a pair of axels anyway? Also lads the insurance has gave me 8k for it, after a little bit of research on their end and mine, thanks to good old Ebay!! They were going to see me at 7750 but after a one that was a year older and more miles for 8k they said I will give you the 8k.
Now its the case of where do I go from here?, I have seen a good one that's caught my eye. and looks tidy too. But I will have to have a chat with the bank, Or do I just pay the remainder off and go for another loan. hard one Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back Success is 90% Inspiration and 4 minutes Preparation # you can make it! |

Yeah I am still going to stay with the defender, Only car that's worth getting. This one I was just starting to get my teeth into this year, The replacement one I am looking at will hopefully have what I was going to do with this one already.
So I am not starting again as it were. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back Success is 90% Inspiration and 4 minutes Preparation # you can make it! |
