Just a thought but when I tested the stalk I plugged the new one in but didn’t attach it to the steering column. Does it need to be earthed by the column to work ?

There is resistance when pulled but I think this is the motor.

What about the earth issue with the new stalk?

No, the stalk isn't earthed by the column. It should work independently. Darren

Have you checked if you've actually got power at the stalk, or anywhere else in the systems? As both washers and wipers have stopped, it's either a common connection point or a very strange coincidence. Darren

So I’ve been quiet as I’ve been busy!
Dash out and fault finding now on the wires. Manages to track it down to a fault on the green and red live feed( I think!).
I reckon it has failed on the splice for the washer and wiper split. This is the only split in the full length of this wire. But does anyone know where this splice is so I can inspect it?

Did you find out what the fault was in the end? My wipers and washer packed in yesterday so faced with the same issue and symptoms you have experienced 😟
