Greenlaning in Hampshire (Andover/Salisbury/Basingstoke)

Hi,

Title pretty much says it all! Any forum users know of any good lanes in the areas mentioned above, EXCLUDING Salisbury Plain!

Would like a good selection with various level of difficulty if possible.

The RoW department, where the definitive maps are kept, is based in Trowbridge (Or used to be)
They were very helpful when I wanted to research rights of way, and mark my maps up.

There are plenty of byways off the Plain in Wiltshire, lots have been surfaced with road planing and not many are that challenging but it’s easy to fill a day just pottering around off the tarmac.
Get yourself some good maps to study. Wiltshire County Council in my opinion have a good attitude to byways and most are very well signposted.

Yes. I live in Basingstoke. A good fun route is easy to whack together. Usually something that begins at Black Dam Texaco and leads us to Hindhead and back. You can make a really good day of it.

From memory there used to be a few lanes next to the M3 and past Lasham airfield and loads around Alton! Cheers Don.

If you download ViewRanger and have a look on their map overlay you should find a few routes myself and others have shared
