Thanks for the reply JST

Used to be fine all the way to the speed limiter around 85mph

Noticed last year it had a few hiccups then it would pass.

Now it won’t go beyond about 65, noticed this yesterday trying to pass another car on a dual carriageway ..... just refused, nearly got to 70 after about a mile of trying. Really massive stuttering like an old V8. Thought it could be the throttle pedal but the nanocom seems to show it working fine.

The frustration is that through the gears and upto 65 it goes really well, smooth idle, turbo running up nicely. Can’t see anything obvious via the nanocom other than at 65 the fuel rail pressure is fluctuating by about 20MPA .... it’s liek someone is lifting my foot of the pedal.

any smoke when trying hard?

does it do it every time?

turbo hose delaminating? Cheers

Try to answer all replies in one go, No smoke .... new hoses, the idle was always fine it’s the high speed driving that’s the problem .... like something is holding it back

Thanks PJ but already checked that.

According to nanocom engine temp is low 80s which was a surprise even when gunning it. Have ordered a replacement CHT sensor as it’s cheap ,... I understand this drives both the gauge and the info to the ECU. Could be giving duff readings.

I had similar issues at the same speed. It felt like a first speed limiter. I got rid of it after removing the snorkel Shocked

Best

Many thanks for the reply

Are spending a lot of money changing all the sensors etc .... found out that the ECU has been updated with RHD software rather than LHD, somehow this had introduced a speed limit function of 100kph.

Rather than pay my local stealer again and wait 12 weeks for a diagnostics slot (yes 12 weeks) ..... to put it right just had a remap flashed onto it. Now goes like a rocket and has no limiter what so ever.

Thanks all of you for your help.
