Yea second hand they’re about as rare as hens teeth!

I know it's more cash for the startech but if you've made your mind up to get one I would either wait to see if any come up for sale or bite the bullet and buy new. You won't regret it

The truth of the matter is Startech wheels do not come up that often and they are not cheap secondhand also they sell very quickly.
You will probably have a long wait and the last proposed group buy did not make the required numbers and fizzled out i know i had my name down. I had to dig deep and buy new. 2016 Defender Landmark 90 2005 Defender CSW TD5 90XS |

Looks like you can buy them direct from Germany for around £400.
I don’t know what the shipping would be, whether you could get them a bit cheaper without a boss and if they’d do a bulk discount. I’ll give them a call on Monday. Fingers crossed! 2011 CSW XS 90 |

Ok. I'm 100% in if there is a saving to be made with the wheel, and the QR boss, Lock and storage thingy. Basically the full set so any saving will be good as it's more than I have at the moment, but don't want to loose my car.
I'm happy to call/mail people if you want. 4x4 overlander and Optimil. Anyone else interested as if so shall we start another group buy (hopefully one that works!) or 'dare i say it' a forum discount code if mentioning this thread! |

I’m surprised Optimill haven’t jumped on this and got a load of Startech steering wheels. If they could do a package deal for around £600, they’d have people queuing out the door! Plus I’d only end up spending the money saved upgrading the pathetic front windscreen washer with their washer package. They were demonstrating it at the Great British Land Rover show last year and it looked amazing!! Gents very interesting thread on the products listed, the Startech is a fantastic steering wheel and the Optimill products you mention are all excellent pieces of engineering and are a brilliant increase in security levels to protect your Defender.
I have all the products mentioned and I’m very happy with them. However I think your a little hopeful with regard to getting £743.00 of products plus postage from two different supplies for £600.00. Both Optimill and 4x4 Overlander are smaller companies who are both fantastic to deal with and the customer service from both is second to none and the products they sell in my opinion are excellent. Not sure how you imagine these two companies could afford to give you a 19% discount  how much profit do you imagine small retailers make?
I’m sure Brendan from 4x4 overlander will try and assist with a group buy but good luck seeking your “discount” 2015 HT XS 90 2008 SVX 90 2000 XS TD5 90 |
