Not sure if this is any use for you, but here it is none the less!
I've looked through some of the logs I've taken with my BAS diagnostics tool and although my readings are in a different unit, converted, at idle, just after startup, my 2.4 is showing around 22000 to 23000kPa which equates to 220 to 230bar respectively. If I get the chance during the day I'll give it a start and log using the same figures and scales etc, see if makes it a little easier to compare to revs. (Thats if no-one jumps in first) Hope that helped. Great thank you for that. A direct comparison would be brilliant!
This is a plot from the short time when I was able to start mine first turn of the key. This soon stopped and got progressively worse. Click image to enlarge Fuel pressures seem similar to as you mentioned. When it started like that it ran beautifully, no issues atall would pull upto speed very well on a short drive ran upto temperature and stayed there. The lumpy plot before makes me think it could be a fuel pressure regulator. But having changed 3 sensors already based on no fault codes and me just guessing really. I’m sceptical about changing any more. I’ve inspected the wiring look plugs for corrosion but they seem as good as new. I haven’t inspected the wiring loom itself. I think that’ll be my next port of call to remove all the conduit and check the wires. I’ve contemplated whether this engine has just given up but I’m reluctant to just swap it out as when it runs it’s fine. It must be something small just causing a no start issue. |

Without trawling back through the whole thread, can you confirm whether or not you have replaced the VCV?
As a general rule, weird running issues that seem fuel related and don't produce DTCs are generally caused by the VCV. Whilst your symptoms don't fit the classic VCV repertoire, I would certainly try changing it if you haven't already. |

Yes VCV has been changed for a genuine Denso item. This didn’t seem to make much difference if any. The pump learn procedures were carried out as required.

Just to let you know... My problem got solved (so far, and it has been 6 months) by just changing the ignition coil and immobiliser relay...because I've replaced both, not sure wich solved the problem, but I'm almost sure It was the ignition coil relay that was causing those problems at start up... Starts well now, whether it's cold or hot! Didn't get to change the glowplugs! Saved a few € so far......
