Does anyone on here have this option on a preheater engine or hot air? ie Thermo Top C or AirTop 2000?

What are your views on it?

Or does anyone haev an alternative way of actuating the heater from a mobile. Cheers

Have a look on DISCO3, lots of discussion about the Altox controllers and some threads about the Thermo Call.  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

Been using Thermocall for six or seven years. Never let me down.

Think it’s called a TC3, App/text controlled and worth its wait in gold in winter.

I’m using one of these : https://www.gsm-uk.net/shop-2

You can see my wiring diagram here: https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic58518.html

Cheap and cheerful 😃 the chap was super helpful Thumbs Up

It also has a ‘input’ so you can have the alarm text you for example, or some other event.

If you look at the BAS website they have a remore control unit for a D3/RRS etc, but in the drop down menu it lists Defender. Their unit also doubles as a tracker. Might be worth a look

BAS's Defender version has no heater function, it's a tracker only.  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top
