afaik it is not a 10AS any more :
The Lucas 10AS alarm immobiliser is no longer available as a spare part and was changed to a similar looking unit that is black and does not have the model number 10AS on the label. This alternative black unit was fitter to vehicles from 2013 as far as I have been able to determine. It is this black unit that gives trouble and also is not available as a spare part. The entire system is removed and replaced with a number of other components. This will include the security fob attached to the keys. Some of the electrical wiring loom has to be reconfigured as part of the repair. ( replacement of the entire Alarm immobiliser as per Technical Service bulletin LTB00893 ) https://www.aulro.com/afvb/90-110-130-defe...ase-2.html ** Note From Mid 2013 (2014 Model Year, beginning with VIN EA000001) Land Rover replaced the 10AS with an Alarm from a different manufacturer that although is still called the 10AS and is in the same shape Case, but is Black in color and not Diagnostically compatible with the Early Lucas Green 10AS. As such this version is currently not supported. https://www.nanocom-diagnostics.com/downlo...-evolution |

A 10AS is going to stop reacting occasionally if your fobs run out of power ...

Would it make sense to have a used 10as as a replacement in case of emergency, as well as a control unit? I am seriously thinking about it...! |
