If his faculties are all ok why not. I am no spring chicken, not quite his age but do not see the end to my driving coming soon.
As far as I can see nobody has attributed blame to HRH so good luck to him. If we introduce an upper limit, then I suggest we increase the lower limit first 1983 Series 3 Pick up in Marine Blue 1967 Morris Traveller 1966 Morris Convertible 2012 VW T5 Camper Quod Abundat Non Obstat. |

A highly emotive topic!
My personal view is that if medically fit and healthy enough and able to meet all required standards then yes. However the biggest concern has to come in respect of an older driver's ability to cope with modern travel and road layouts. Being critical and not wanting to offend any, but I often find it's older drivers that cause majority of issues on local roads. |

As said above, if fit and healthy and meets the requirements ok.
But as we all know as we get older our reactions will be a lot slower than a younger person. |

Absolute legend, he did a unit inspection once, so CO put us to work doing a load of stuff we didn’t normally do.
We had an engineering unit close by and they were busy building one of those Bridging rafts. He said
His aide didn’t even batter an eyelid, we were all there tying to keep a straight face. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.telegra...ments/amp/ I'm on IG: https://www.instagram.com/osloblue42/ Current: TD5 '110 "Lucinda" Thread here: https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic62562.html |

This is a particularly dangerous stretch of road with a 60 mph speed limit. The local council have been considering a reduction
to 50 mph for some time. I do not think that in this instance his age was a factor. At this time of year a very low sun can blind anyone Generally, I think that age brings experience and a greater awareness of the consequences of our actions when driving and often a more cautious approach than those starting the driving lives. Both extremes bring with them a risk, I just wish mine was at the lower age part 1983 Series 3 Pick up in Marine Blue 1967 Morris Traveller 1966 Morris Convertible 2012 VW T5 Camper Quod Abundat Non Obstat. |

At 75 I feel I have to be a lot more careful and I avoid driving at night on unfamiliar roads where possible.

My thoughts exactly. I am sure the majority of our age are the same, but winter's early dusk does bring its problems. 1983 Series 3 Pick up in Marine Blue

I have absolutely no worries getting in a car with my 86yo great aunt - but she is very fit, active and mentally sharp.
While there are many conditions that can worsen with age, if you can pass a medical I don't see a problem. https://instagram.com/bentheoandrews |
