I put one on my 110. Well made, easy fit, seemed to make the turbo spool up quicker. Not over noisy.

Thanks to both of you for feed back can I ask is there any drone at cruising speed 60-65mph?
Does the system have a dummy cat installed in it? 2016 Defender Landmark 90 2005 Defender CSW TD5 90XS |

No droning noise at all. Can't remember whether you can opt for or without the dummy.

Hi MJN110. I have a cat back Griffin exhaust on my 110 and love it. Previously I had a mild steel decat and centre box removal pipe installed, leaving just the standard small rear silencer. At motorway speeds I found that this system droned appallingly at 60-70mph... Awful... I was so glad when all the exhaust mounts rotted away last year.
I opted for the Griffin system after talking with the owner, found him to be very knowledgeable and always willing to answer the phone, call back and the service was excellent. I opted for the cat back system with the cherry bomb style centre silencer and couldn't be happier with it. There is absolutely no drone anymore and the exhaust note is simply delicious. Yes you can make it loud and oil-like if you are so inclined, but generally the exhaust note is a good deep rumble at idle leading to a growling roar during acceleration and quietening down to almost nothing when cruising. And yes you can "burp" the exhaust in tunnels if you want an instant smile... I noticed my defat down pipe is on its last legs now too, so I will be going back to Griffin for a replacement SS down pipe. In fact I had a neighbour pull up for a chat this evening as I was getting out if the Defender. He said I passed him just down the road and that the Defender sounded amazing, not at all how a diesel is meant to sound. I have to agree with him... |

I had a full Griffin exhaust on the 110 TD5.
Mine did boom / drone when sitting at around 70mph. I swapped the transfer gears for Disco ones soon after however which meant the 70mph drone moved up to about 80mph+ so wasn't a problem . |

Thank you all for your help it all sounds very positive the question is do i go for full system or cat back and would there be a risk of drone without a proper cat fitted?
I never noticed any prices quoted on there website either? Any views on the Alive system which i note is cat back only? 2016 Defender Landmark 90 2005 Defender CSW TD5 90XS |

I have a full Griffin system on my Td5 90 and absolutely love it. One of the best things I have done. Been fitted for 2 years now, still looks like it did the day it was fitted (apart from the very sooty tail-pipe!). Sounds fantastic. It's significantly noisier than standard and you do hear that inside as well. But I like hearing it so much that I often drive around with the passenger window open.
On long journeys it is a bit noisier in the cabin, but I don't find it obtrusive. Its only really noisy under acceleration, once it's settled to a steady cruise, it's perfectly acceptable to me. Drop him an email or a call and he will tailor the system to your requirements. Can't remember what mine cost without looking it up, but I really didn't think it was expensive for the quality. 2005 Td5 | 90 Station Wagon | Tonga Green |

I have one on a TDCi. Fit was spot on. Sound is great. I have decatted also
I can't say I've noticed a drone but in honesty I haven't done many miles at speed yet. Out of interest where are you looking to buy from as I struggled to source one when I bought before Christmas Video below of mine should you be interested > 110 XS Double Cab |
