2014 XS Hardtop Sub-Wiring

Hi all,

Does anybody know if the 2014 90 XS Hardtop has the sub wiring preinstalled under the cubby box?

I've bought a genuine LR / Alpine amp and wondered if it will just be plug and play (other than running the RCA cables to the head unit)?

If not does anybody have the part number of the correct LR harness? Mike

2012 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 XS CSW Firenze Red

I have the 2012 one and the wire was there for mine .. take a look under the wagon and see if you have it feeding up - or take off the box and see if it is there ...

I have a 2014 Xs hardtop and that had no wiring for the sub.

2015 Defender 90 Puma 2.2 XS CSW Montalcino Red

The subwoofer-equipped Defenders have a different main body harness with the connector on it, not just an extra overlay for the subwoofer.

Definitely worth making your own harness as per your wanted ad

My MY16 XS was not pre-wired for the sub and it is beyond my own capabilities, so I had the local car audio specialists install for me and whilst not cheap I'm pleased with the result. Rob

The sub was a bargain so purchased prior to removing the cubby....live and learn.

I’ll have a crack at wiring it.....it not, a local auto electrician is going to get the job of sorting it! Ian
