Have a look at the Toyo Open Country MT, cheap and get great reviews. You can also get them in 255/85R16, perfect for wolf rims. James

to maintain gearing and lock stick with what you have size wise.
type wise personally i would fit BFG KM2s, Over the last 12years we have seen pretty much every variation of road going Mud tyre turn up on our driving days. People that become regulars all switch BFG MT after realising their other brands dont wear was well, dont work as well on a varied terrain mud/grass/clay, dont have very strong side wall! I changed out of my stock Conti’s for Toyo Open Country M/T’s in 235/85 after a lot of research. The other serious option was Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ P3’s which are a great hybrid giving M/T performance. So far the Toyo’s are quieter than the Conti’s great grip, good in the wet with a virtually indestructible sidewall.

Cooper STT - very impressed, good road holding, good wear, fantastic off road - previously had BFG, but always found they perished. Plus size for size they are physically wider than BFG.
